Janice Eickhorst’s rich mixed media art is non-representational, abstract in image and shape, and alive with content.  The desert that surrounds the artist inspires impressions of sand, cacti, animal tracks and hiking trails, all of which materialize repeatedly throughout the wild flights of colorful fancy that manifest as collage art.  Memories of places the artist has visited also emerge in her work through the hues, textures and shapes of seas, beaches, cities and seasons.  

Janice’s art sometimes reflects time spent in play with young children.  There is a fun, childlike lightness that surrounds her visually stimulating compositions.  As you can see, Janice often works in series, always with the goal of conveying optimism, energy and encouragement.  Janice offers us art that is a delightfully tactile wonderland!
